In Kentucky there is no government certification provided by the state for the practice of mediation. Therefore, completion of this course qualifies you to become a mediator. It provides the learning and accreditations necessary be able to develop your mediation practice. After completion of the course, you can proceed to receive instructions and start developing your experience and resume.
The course also fulfils the requirement to become a court-connected mediator with most local courts. Different court systems will have their own requirements for their panel of neutrals. These requirements will however include a 40-hour mediation training component as stipulated by the Administrative Procedures of the Supreme Court of Kentucky Order 2005-2 which is fulfilled by this course.
