In Kansas there is no government certification provided by the state for the practice of mediation. Therefore, completion of this course qualifies you to become a mediator. It provides the learning and accreditations necessary be able to develop your mediation practice. After completion of the course, you can proceed to receive instructions and start developing your experience and resume.
The course also fulfils the requirement to become a court-connected mediator with local courts in Kansas. Different court systems will have their own requirements for their panel of neutrals. These requirements will however include a 40-hour mediation training component which is fulfilled by this course.
