Over the years, she has litigated and resolved numerous cases in various fields. Her experience as a Litigator and her training as a Mediator gives her a unique ability to grasp the underlying legal issues and facilitate communication between parties to reach a resolution. Ms. Shoker has a very calming effect on individuals; even in the most contentious situations, she can easily put parties at ease. Ms. Shoker is fluent in Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu and has traveled extensively in Southeast Asia, which allows her to appreciate and address the cultural, gender and/or nationality nuances which often become critical in bringing a complex case to a successful resolution.
Ms. Shoker is the Court Mediation Program Director for The Congress of Neutrals. Ms. Shoker also volunteers as a Mediator, Settlement Mentor and Discovery Facilitator with Contra Costa Superior Court.
